Report says three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car crash near Fort Lauderdale. The severe impact from the incidence tore a wheel off one of the cars.
This accident reportedly happened when a Nissan Altima and an Oldsmobile Cutlass collided at the intersection of Northwest 31st Avenue and Sixth Street near Fort Lauderdale.
Michael Kane, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief said, that the impact was so severe that one of the wheels of the Cutlass was torn off before the car struck a fence on the southeast corner of the intersection.
It was reported that the passenger side rear wheel missing from the Cutlass, meanwhile, much of the car’s under chassis assembly reportedly knocked out of place.
Authorities reported, that three people were hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. One of the victims of the accident was a woman. She sustained an ankle injury. Another person, a male, had leg pains while another man had facial injuries and glass in his eyes.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
