A spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department reported that three people suffered injuries in a multiple-vehicle accident on Northwest 6th Street.
Eyewitnesses said a green Renault was heading eastbound, crossed the center line and rear-ended a Toyota Corolla. The Corolla struck an approaching minivan head-on before veering off the road.
It was reported that six people were involved in this accident. Three 21-year-old males occupied the Renault, while the Toyota had two occupants. The minivan had a single occupant, police added.
Both the Corolla occupants and the minivan driver suffered injuries. EMS treated the injured victims at the scene and then transported them to a nearby hospital.
Authorities reported that the occupants in the Renault did not sustain injuries.
According to the spokesperson, the accident remains under investigation by the police department.
