Three People Injured After SUV Slammed Into A Store Along US-1 In North Fort Lauderdale As many as three people were injured when a SUV slammed into a mall along FL-5 in Fort Lauderdale, authorities reported.

As many as three people were injured when a SUV slammed into a store along US-1, authorities reported.

Police spokesman reported that the woman who rammed into the facility mistook the gas pedal for the brake. She had been parked just in front of the facility when the accident occurred.

Authorities said, people who were injured are expected to survive their injuries, however, some of the injuries sustained are life-threatening, police said.

According to the spokesman, the driver of the SUV is a 67-year-old woman. She was not injured.

Report says when paramedics arrived, one person was still immobile on top of the car’s hood.

EMS arrived at the scene and transport all the victims, except the uninjured driver, to the nearest hospital for treatment.

No further information is available at this time and no charge has been filed.
