Report Says Emergency Crews Rushed Three Pedestrians to the Hospital After a Pickup Truck Hit Them on Livingston Road.
Naples police commented on the incident. They said a Toyota pickup traveled west on Livingston Road with two occupants inside. The Toyota approached an intersection at the time of the accident.
Authorities reported that the driver apparently did not see the pedestrians in the crosswalk ahead. Consequently, the 31-year-old Toyota driver barreled through the crosswalk and rammed into the three pedestrians. The impact of the collision knocked the pedestrians off their feet.
First responders arrived at the scene within minutes. They rushed all three victims to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. The driver and the passenger in the Toyota pickup did not receive injuries.
Police have yet to say if the Toyota driver will face charges. Additionally, they have yet to release any identifying information pertaining to the victims.
Investigations are ongoing.
