Three Injured In Multiple-Vehicle Crash On Interstate 75

According to officials, three people suffered various injuries in an accident involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 75.

It has been reported that the accident involved a tractor-trailer and three cars on Interstate 75 in Fort Myers. Authorities said the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control of the vehicle approaching a traffic stop.

Authorities did not say why he failed to halt the vehicle. Consequently, the driver ran into a total of three other vehicles at the traffic stop before coming to a halt.

Emergency service workers arrived at the scene and administered medical aid to the victims of the collision. EMS reported that two passengers in one of the cars were injured. Also, at least one of the drivers involved in the crash reportedly suffered injuries. The victims who were hurt were transported to the nearest hospital.

The accident is still being investigated and authorities will release more information to the public pending completion.
