Three Injured In Lee County Crash Involving Leetran Bus

Three people were injured after a Lee County crash involving a Leetran bus.

According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of an SUV had serious injuries after the crash that happened on US 41 near Coconut Road. Two passengers on the bus had minor injuries.

The SUV was driving north on US 41 in the right lane while the Leetran bus was stopped at a designated bus stop location, troopers said.

The driver of the SUV hit the bus after failing to stop. Authorities did not reveal further details on the crash but insist that it remains under investigation.
