Law Enforcement Officials Say Three People Suffer Various Injuries in an Accident Involving Multiple Vehicles on Tamiami Trail East.
According to officials, the accident involved a tractor-trailer and three cars on Tamiami Trail East in Naples. Authorities said the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control of the vehicle approaching a traffic stop.
Authorities did not say why he failed to halt the vehicle. Consequently, the driver ran into a total of three other vehicles at the traffic stop before coming to a halt.
Emergency service workers arrived at the scene and administered medical aid to the victims of the collision. EMS reported that two passengers in one of the cars were injured. Also, at least one of the drivers involved in the crash reportedly suffered injuries. The victims who were hurt were transported to the nearest hospital.
The accident is still being investigation and authorities will release more information to the public pending completion.
