According to the report received from the police, three teens were killed by a car in North Miami as they walked to a bus stop.
Report says the three soccer teammates that were in uniform, were making their way to the pickup location for buses that were to take them to a scheduled tournament in Weston.
It was reported by North Miami police that the department got a call reporting a traffic crash at Northeast 13th Avenue and 125th Street. When the officers got there, the three children were already dead.
A spokeswoman for the police said they were pedestrians on a sidewalk and they died on impact.
After identifying the teens, it was reported that none of them were related. The teens were identified as Gideon Desir, 13-year-old North Miami Middle School student, Lens Desir, 15-year-old Miami Edison High School students, and 17-year-old Richcarde Dumay.
Report say the unidentified driver of the car was taken to Aventura Hospital & Medical Center in serious condition. It was unclear at this time what caused the crash.
Glen Levine, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, comments on this crash: “It is always devastating when children lose their life because they were struck by a motor vehicle. This accident is especially disturbing because of the way it happened. If you or someone you love was recently killed or injured in a car, truck, SUV or motorcycle accident, an attorney may be able to help you file a lawsuit against the person that caused the accident.”
