A 31-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after a Lexus sideswiped his car on Northwest 23rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale police reported.

The crash occurred when a 2010 Ford Focus veered off its lane on Northwest 23rd Avenue and struck a Lexus SUV. The Lexus then rolled over into the ditch by the side of the road. The Ford flipped and laid across the road, police said.

Emergency crew arrived at the scene of the crash to administer medical care. It was reported that the occupants of the Lexus SUV sustained life-threatening injuries. The crash victims were all transported to a nearby hospital.

EMS reported that the Ford driver sustained serious injuries to the head, chest and back.

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
