Three Critically Injured After A Accident On Rattlesnake Hammock Road

Police reported that five people were injured in an accident as a pickup truck rear-ended a car on Rattlesnake Hammock Road.

A pickup truck crashed into a car from the rear while slowing down for a traffic light, according to the report. The Buick car was driven by a 33-year-old man who reportedly applied the brakes close to County Barn Road intersection.

According to police report, the Nissan pickup truck forcefully struck the car from the rear on Rattlesnake Hammock Road. The 27-year-old driver of the pickup truck was driving at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred.

There was also a passenger inside the car that was rear-ended. The passenger reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old male passenger was extricated after been stuck by the fringes in the car, EMS crew added. He was rushed to the hospital, EMS added.

The drivers of the pickup and the car also suffer injuries. The crash victims were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Authorities said investigation is still ongoing.
