Teenage Bicyclist Severely Injured On Northwest 46th Street Accident

It was reported that a Nissan Xterra lost control and pulled onto the side of the road on Northwest 46th Street and struck a bicyclist in the process.

Police reported that the 40-year-old SUV driver lost control of the car while driving along Northwest 46th Street. The reason he lost control of the vehicle has not yet been clarified. The police reported that cause is still undergoing investigation.

Witnesses reported that the SUV veered off the road and struck the street light pole and a bicyclist. It was reported that a 17-year-old boy was riding the bicycle when the crash happened.

The teenage boy is now in critical condition after been struck by the SUV. EMS reported that the boy had sustained several bruises including a fracture on his leg.

The driver of the SUV, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, also sustained injuries, police said. The boy and the driver have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
