Teen Dead, 4 Injured After Semi-Truck Crash On Jacksonville’s Northside

A 17-year-old girl was killed and several others suffered injuries after a crash involving a semi-truck and a car on Jacksonville’s Northside.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Dunn Avenue.

Authorities said a silver Honda Accord with five people was headed south on New Kings Road before making a left turn towards Dunn Avenue. A 47-year-old man was driving an oncoming 18-wheeler that hit the Honda, the FHP said.

A 17-year-old girl, who was one of the passengers in the Honda, died in the crash, according to the FHP.

Three other passengers, all under the age of 20, were critically injured in the crash. The driver of the Honda, a 20-year-old man, received minor injures, according to the FHP.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt in the crash.
