A woman was reportedly killed, and another was hospitalized, in a rollover crash on Philips Highway in Southside, Jacksonville.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports a major incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the Philips Highway near Bartram Springs when a Hyundai Tucson and Honda Accord collided.
The report also says the Florida Highway Patrol responded promptly to the accident.
It was reported that traffic is back to normal on Philips Highway in Southside after lanes were closed for hours following the fatal crash.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash left debris scattered along the highway, a silver Hyundai on its roof in the middle of the lanes, and a black Honda with heavy rear damage. The Honda also received front damage from colliding with the guardrail.
The report says the deceased Honda’s driver was as a 38-year-old woman of St. Johns County.
The other driver, a 37-year-old woman from Southwest Jacksonville, was taken to the nearby medical center for minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
