The report says the driver of a pickup truck, who was southbound on Southwest 49th Avenue, ran off the road. The truck hit a mailbox before crossing into the northbound lanes of traffic and hit a car head-on.

The victims were reportedly transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. According to the report, the driver of the car also sustained serious injuries.

A preliminary crash report indicates alcohol was not involved in the crash.  Charges are pending.
