Several Injured In Fiery Four-Vehicle Crash On Palmetto Expressway

Miami Accident – Several people were left injured and sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after a fiery crash on Palmetto Expressway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 6.a.m, when the driver of a Ford sedan traveling northbound in the area of NW 154th Street lost control of the vehicle and hit the concrete center median barrier wall.  This led to the car going over the barrier and slamming into three other vehicles that were traveling on the southbound lanes. One of the vehicles erupted into flames.  Several people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center.   The accident led to the traffic closure of all the southbound lanes and two of the northbound lanes until the vehicles involved in the accident could be cleared. The lanes reopened shortly after 8:30 a.m.
