Rollover Crash At Ponte Vedra Beach; Six People Hospitalized

Report says six people involved in a rollover accident at Ponte Vedra Beach has been rushed to the hospital by rescue crews.

This accident reportedly happened after an SUV failed to stop at the red sign in the area of Florida A1A and Solana Road at Ponte Vedra Beach. It was also reported that all the victims were recovering from their injuries; none of the injuries were life-threatening. However, one of the victims suffered a broken leg.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and several rescue unit officers were seen on the scene of the two-vehicle crash, report says. According to the officials, a black SUV and a white sedan collided and left three victims stuck in the vehicles. A spokesman for the rescue unit said there was need to extricate victims from the vehicles.

It was reported that there were two people riding the white sedan and at least three in the SUV. One victim was found injured and lying in the grass nearby, but it remains unknown whether that person was ejected from a vehicle or was a pedestrian who was struck.

Officers shut down both directions of Florida A1A as they underwent investigation. The roadway later reopened.
