According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, crews responded to a call of a vehicle striking a tree in the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and Jann Avenue.
Officials further reported that Rescue crews have airlifted three children and one adult to the hospital after they were involved in a fiery car crash in Opa-locka.
Report says the mangled white Kia Optima was wrapped around a tree as first responders, including Opa-locka Police officers, arrived at the scene.
According to one Martell Williams, a Good Samaritan who saw the crash, the car exploded and burst into flames on impact. Williams add that shortly after, he tried to help the victims, but insects in the tree prevented him from reaching them.
It was report that after the victims were extricated from the vehicle, paramedics airlifted all four victims to Ryder Trauma Center in unknown condition.
Williams said he hopes all of the victims will survive their injuries.
Authorities have not disclosed the victims’ ages or the extent of their injuries, as they continue to investigate the crash.
