Authorities have reported a Miami-Dade police officer was involved in a car crash. It was said that he had received injuries and had to get medical attention.
The crash happened in the area of 2059 NW 24TH Avenue. Local media was above the scene shortly after it happened to report on this news. Authorities were scene working quickly to clear the road, help the injure officer and open the road. It was reported that a patrol car and a white 4 door car were involved in the collision.
According to the Police, the driver of the second driver was possibly not injured or only had minor injuries.
Because of this crash and the ongoing investigation, Northwest 24th Avenue is closed from 20th street to 21st street.
