It was Reported that an Officer has been Severely Injured After He was Involved in an Accident on Riverland Road with His Motorcycle.
The crash happened at the intersection of Riverland Road and Southwest 35th Avenue. Authorities said the police officer was on his way after a received a call about a person armed with gun. Subsequently, a Nissan Pilot in front of his motorcycle suddenly swerved, navigating a turn without any warning signal.
Consequently, his motorcycle struck the driver’s side door of the truck and his was flown off the motorcycle. Police said the officer suffered multiple injuries including a broken leg and fractured ribs.
Report says the injured officer was airlifted to nearby hospital as a trauma alert. However, the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, according to the police, the emergency he was riding towards ended up to be a false alert.
Police is investigating the crash, and no charges have been filed yet.
