Authorities have confirmed that a Miami police officer involved in a car accident in Little Havana was injured.

According to the report, a Miami Police officer has been transported to a local hospital following a car crash involving his cruiser. The accident reportedly occurred at the intersection of Southwest 10th Avenue and First Street in Little Havana, Miami.

According to police, this accident happened when a female driver failed to stop at the flashing red light and crashed into the officer’s patrol car.

Police said the woman remained at the scene and was issued several citations.

Report says the unidentified police officer, who was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, is now in stable condition.

No other details were made available to the public at the time of this report.
