Officials are investigating a fatal crash along I-75 in Broward County that has left one person dead.

It is being reported from the scene that media and law enforcement have converged at the scene of a fatal crash near the entrance ramp from Royal Palm Boulevard.  At this time a car is fastened to a pole near the southbound lanes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, they have confirmed the death of one person. However, police are not certain whether another person sustained injuries in the crash. Additionally, authorities have not released the details of the victim.

Meanwhile, police closed the Interstate for almost an hour, so they could attend to the crash; it has since reopened.

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
