One person in a critical condition has been hospitalized after an accident between a motorcycle and a vehicle on County Road 896.
According to Naples Police Department, a motorcycle and a Chevrolet collided on County Road 896.
Report says the driver of the Chevrolet was traveling above the speed limit when the accident happened. He was trying to change lanes to pass the motorcycle when he clipped the rear tire of the bike. This caused the motorcycle driver to lose control and flip off of the motorcycle, police said.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist, who was in his 30s sustained serious injuries from the crash incidence. He has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. It was reported that he was transported with ambulance in a life-support system due to his critical condition.
According to reports, the driver of the Chevy was not injured.
Police say County Road 896 going eastbound will be shut down to allow crews to clear the debris from the site. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Police are still investigating and charges are pending against the driver of the Chevy car.
