Pedestrian Killed On I-75 North In Naples

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a deadly accident happened near the Pine Ridge Road exit on I-75 North in Naples, claiming the life of a 66-year-old man.

Report says witnesses have describe the incident as disturbing, saying multiple cars hit the victim.

FHP reported that a 29-year-old man was driving on I-75 North when the pedestrian walked across the interstate in front of his car.

Neighbors who live near the major crash scene said it’s not safe, also coupled to the fact that walking on the interstate is illegal. Naples resident Angel Ealmas said, “I was like wow, somebody walking on I-75? I think it’s kind of crazy to do that.”

Ealmas said he sees drivers zooming by on this highway every day.

Other neighbors said the victim’s car may have been broken down. Even during car troubles or an emergency, they said it’s a bad idea to get out on the interstate.

FHP is still trying to determine if more than one car hit the victim.
