A pedestrian was critically injured in a crash which occurred along Palm Beach Boulevard at Figuera Avenue in Fort Myers.
According to the news release by the authorities, the crash involved a Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound on Palm Beach Boulevard. The Pedestrian, identified to be in his mid-forties, was walking north across Palm Beach Boulevard when the front of the Toyota stuck him.
The pedestrian was critically injured due to the impact of the collision . Emergency First Responders arrived at the scene and administered first aid before taking him to the nearest local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the officials.
Troopers say the crash remains under investigation. Certain lanes were closed while officials conducted an investigation, but all lanes have since reopened. No other details were released. When more information is available and released from Florida State Troopers, this story will be updated.
