Authorities report that one person was reported critically injured in a bus crash on I-10 that occurred in Jacksonville.

According to the news release by the authorities, the crash happened on I-10 near the exit ramp to U.S. 301. A driver of a transit bus was heading west when he changed lanes. He lost control swerving across the road and headed directly into the path of a Toyota sedan.

The bus was off duty and did not have any passengers on board.

The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for medical attention. His passenger sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene of the crash. The driver of the bus was not hurt in the crash and remained at the scene of the accident.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation. The details of the parties involved in the crash have not been released by the authorities.
