Florida Highway Patrol said a 52-year-old Hialeah woman was killed in a head-on crash on Northwest North River Drive.
It was also reported that a 29-year-old man was also seriously injured in crash that happened on Northwest North River Drive near Miami International Airport.
According to the Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Kia Soul west on Northwest North River Drive when the vehicle crossed over the centerline. Consequently, it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound.
Troopers said the 52-year-old woman of Hialeah Gardens, has been pronounced died. Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet, a 29-year-old man, was taken to the nearest hospital with serious injuries.
The Highway Patrol report states it’s unknown whether either driver was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers in Miami continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
