It has been reported by the authorities that one person was killed and another hospitalized in Miami Beach when a vehicle crashed into a wall.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said the single-vehicle crash occurred at 71 Street and Rue Vendome in Miami Beach. Another occupant in the vehicle when the accident happened was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, according to Miami Beach police.
Rodriguez said “Two occupants inside of the vehicle at the time of crash, one of the occupants has died on the scene.” He also confirmed in a statement, “The remaining occupant is being transported to the Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.”
According to Rodriguez, motorists should expect delays in the eastbound lanes along 71 Street as a result of the fatal accident. Police initially thought there might have been a third person in the vehicle but that proved incorrect.
The crash is still under investigation by the police.
