One Hospitalized Following A Rear-End Accident On FL-23

According to law enforcement officials, a rear-end crash on FL-23 sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the crash happened on the southbound side of Highway FL-23 where two vehicles collided.

The report says a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old woman rear-ended the driver of a Hyundai Elantra causing several injuries. Police did not say why the driver failed to avoid hitting the Elantra.

It was reported that EMS arrived at the scene of the accident soon after it happened and administered first aid to the injured victims. Emergency crews reported that the driver of the Elantra sustained several serious injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the Elantra was not injured and remained at the scene of the accident. Officials say there were no indications that she was impaired at the time of this report.

According to the report, the crash remains under investigation. The details of the individuals involved in the crash have not been released to the public.
