Authorities reported that one man was sent to the hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash on Metro Parkway.

According to an official report by the local police, the crash happened on Metro Parkway. A Toyota Corolla was heading north on Metro Parkway when it impacted a Southbound Chevrolet Impala that was making a left turn.

The crash was so severe that parts from both vehicles were scattered on the road. The driver of the Chevrolet was slowing down to a near stop to turn, but the Toyota did not stop in time and slammed into the Impala.

Report says the driver of the Chevrolet was severely injured and was taken to the hospital. Officials say he sustained life-threatening injuries. The other driver sustained minor injuries, but was taken to a local hospital as well for treatment.

Authorities say the cash remains under active investigation and no other details have been released at this time.
