Law enforcement officials reported a crash on Riverland Road that sent the driver of a Toyota Corolla to the hospital with critical injuries.
According to the news release by officials, the crash happened on Riverland Road when a speeding vehicle crashed into a Toyota Corolla.
Witnesses say they saw the car speeding down Riverland Road before slamming into the Corolla. After the collision the Toyota Corolla flipped and landed on its side after snapping a streetlight pole in half. Authorities did not reveal the cause of the crash at the time of this report.
EMS arrived to the scene of the accident soon after it happened and administered first aid to the injured victims. Emergency crews reported that the driver of the Toyota Corolla was critically injured in the collision. The driver of the first vehicle was also hurt in the crash. EMS transported both drivers to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Authorities say that the incident is currently under investigation and no other details were released to the public.
