On Orange Blossom Drive, A School Teacher Was Struck By A Motorcyclist

According to the spokesman for the Naples Police Department, a school teacher was severely injured after been struck by a motorcycle on Orange Blossom Drive.

The spokesman reported that the motorcyclist was driving his 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy on Orange Blossom Drive when the accident happened. He reportedly failed to navigate a curve in the road and struck a curb. He then lost control, swerved and crashed the motorcycle into a light pole striking a victim in the process.

The report says the victim was identified as a 32-year-old school teacher who was walking along the sidewalk on Orange Blossom Drive. Eyewitnesses also said the victim was unresponsive before EMS arrived. Emergency crews confirmed that the victim had sustained severe injuries and then transported the pedestrian to the hospital, officials said.

The motorcyclist also suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries and was seen by EMS.

The incident is still under investigation and no further details were released, official reported.
