The Miami Police Department reported that a woman was killed in a crash on Northeast 82nd Street near Biscayne Boulevard.
Officers said the woman, who was described as elderly, was driving on Northeast 82nd near Biscayne Boulevard when her car slammed into a pole for unknown reasons. According to the report, it happened just a few blocks after McDonald’s. Investigators said she was transported to a nearby hospital. The report says she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
It was reported that police believe she may have had a medical emergency behind the wheel.
Officers are working to determine if a medical emergency was the cause of the wreck.
