According to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office report, a severe accident occurred on Thomas Road when a car crashed into a disabled semi-truck.
Police reported, that the crash was an unexpected incident with furious outcomes. A 2013 Nissan Maxima crashed into a disabled semi-truck that was parked on the side of Thomas Road near Thomas Creek Conservation Area West Entrance. Officials reported, the semi-truck had broken down on the road several hours before the accident occurred.
The authorities described the crash as minimum yet furious. Witnesses said, that the Nissan was not driving at a high-speed before the crash happened. By the time the driver of the Nissan noticed the truck, however, it was too late to avoid the collision, though he was able to avoid a major impact.
There were three occupants in the Nissan when the accident occurred. The driver and the passengers of the car sustained serious injuries from the crash.
Upon EMS crew’s arrival, the driver of the car was unconscious. Both passengers were immobile and seriously injured, according to a crew member. They were all transported to a nearby hospital.
Police are on-site at the crash, coordinating traffic and conducting their investigation.
