As reported by the FHP, the crash happened on Palm Beach Boulevard near Bellair Road in the Tice section of Lee County.
Alcohol is suspected in a two-vehicle accident that left a 19-year-old Fort Myers woman with serious injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
A pickup truck was westbound on Palm Beach Boulevard when it crossed the paved median. Consequently, the truck reportedly crashed head-on into a car being driven east on Palm Beach.
The male drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries and the crash remains under investigation. The injured 19-year-old female was a passenger in the car.
The FHP said alcohol use is suspected by the driver of the pickup. The FHP did not identify the victims under the state’s Marsy’s Law.
