Two men are dead after a near head-on accident between a pickup and car on Northwest 37th Avenue and 21st Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 53-year-old man was driving his 1997 Ford F-150 pickup south on Northwest 37th Avenue when the incidence happened. Troopers also reported that a 31-year-old man was driving his 2004 Dodge Neon sedan north but failed to maintain his lane.
Investigators confirmed that the left front of the pickup hit the left front of the car and made the pickup to overturn and come to rest on its roof. The car veered into a ditch and also overturned.
Both drivers died on the scene, troopers reported. A passenger in the car, 30-year-old male, was reportedly taken to the nearest hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Report says investigators are endeavoring to determine what caused the driver of the car to veer into the opposite lane.
Lab tests are pending. All three men involved in the crash are from Hialeah, Florida.
