A train full of passengers enjoying a ride on the “Murder Mystery” dinner train collided with a car. The crash happened along the tracks on Veronica Shoemaker and Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Eyewitnesses say at least one person was taken to the hospital due the crash. Witnesses also say the train laid on its horn as it approached the intersection, but the car tried to beat the train across the tracks. The train then hit the car and it pushed the car down the track.
No one on the train was injured in the crash.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries. The crash is under investigation. Details of the parties involved in the accident are yet to be released by the authorities.
