Multiple injuries were reported by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office after a crash in the area of US Highway 17 involving a train.
Deputies said an Amtrak train hit a semi-truck carrying drywall near the entrance of Seminole Electric shortly before 10 p.m.
The scene is filled with multiple ambulances, deputies, the Florida Highway Patrol, and other first responders.
Authorities said several persons suffered injuries as a result of the crash. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
All cars on the train are upright and there was no derailment, according to deputies.
The scene has since been cleared.
