Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On US-41 In Port Charlotte

Florida Highway Patrol says they responded to a crash that killed a motorcyclist on US-41 in Port Charlotte Monday.

According to FHP, state troopers were at the scene of the crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on northbound US-41 just north of Murdock Circle and south of Veterans Boulevard.

Authorities say the pickup truck made a left turn in front of the motorcycle causing the front of the motorcycle to hit the right front of the pickup.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was cleared.

The crash remains under investigation.
