A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Nicholas Parkway and SW 11th Street in Cape Coral, authorities said.
The Cape Coral Police Department confirmed a motorcycle was involved in the crash that happened around 12 p.m.
Parts of Nicholas Parkway near SW 11th Street are blocked off in both directions.
Cape Coral police are asking drivers to seek an alternate route.
Officials did not reveal if any other vehicle was involved in the crash neither did they disclose the identity of the dead motorcyclist.
The accident remains under investigation.
