Motorcyclist Killed After A Northwest 20th Street Accident

Miami Police Department reported that a motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving another car on Northwest 20th Street, and speed appears to be a factor.

The Miami Police Department said this crash happened near the intersection of Northwest 20th Street and Northwest 15th Avenue. The motorcyclist, who was a man, reportedly wearing his helmet died at the scene.

The report says the motorcyclist was traveling west on Northwest 20th Street at a high rate of speed. He later rammed into the passenger side of a car that was pulling out from Northwest 15th Avenue.

According to a woman who works in the area “Trying to pull out of here with this curve is very dangerous. The high-performance bikes are the ones that really come by here fast, but everybody pretty much speeds through here.”

It was reported that the crash shut down traffic in both directions on Northwest 20th Street between Northwest 14th Avenue and Northwest 18th Avenue while authorities cleared the scene.
