Officials report a truck involved accident sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. The took place on Miami Gardens Drive at 441 in North Miami.

The driver of a pickup truck disregarded the traffic signals at an intersection and collided with the motorcyclist. The crash threw the motorcyclist off his bike some distance several feet away from the intersection. Even though he wore his helmet, he sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the truck was not hurt in the crash.

Officials say the crash remains under investigation. The details of the individuals involved in the crash have not been released by the authorities. Emergency crews sealed the area while the investigation was being conducted.
