Authorities reported an accident on Northwest 27th Avenue that left a motorcyclist injured in Jacksonville.
According to authorities, the crash happened on Northwest 27th Avenue and 54th Street. The motorcyclist was identified as a 35-year-old man that was traveling northbound on a Harley Davidson. A dark green Subaru Legacy headed southbound suddenly made a left turn across the northbound lanes. The Subaru cut off the motorcyclist causing the bike to flip over the front end of the car.
Eyewitnesses say the motorcyclist flew up to 20 feet before landing on the pavement. The motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the Subaru was not hurt in the crash and remained at the scene.
Officials say the crash remains under active investigation. No other details were immediately released. More information would be available once investigation is complete.
