Motorcyclist Injured In Head On Crash On Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard In Fort Myers Authorities reports a traffic accident on Dr.

Authorities report a traffic accident on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers that left a motorcyclist injured.

According to the news release by the officials, the crash happened when car traveling south drifted into the northbound lane and hitting the motorcyclist head on. The motorcyclist was northbound on Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard.  The impact threw the cyclist from his bike and he landed on the shoulder of the road.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was critically injured and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the car received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Officials are yet to release the details of the individuals involved in the crash. More information would be made available once investigation is complete.
