A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a pole in Jacksonville’s Normandy area.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, a 33-year-old Jacksonville man, was headed east on Normandy Boulevard when he left the road and hit a utility pole on the right shoulder of Normandy Blvd. near Lindsey Rd.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, the FHP reported.
Due to the crash, officials closed all roads in Normandy Boulevard. Police did not reveal additional information on the crash but stated that the incident remains under investigation.
