A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Beach Boulevard.
According to officials, the crash happened at about 5:35 p.m. in the 4800 block of Beach Boulevard.
A 30-year-old man was driving a motorcycle west on Beach Boulevard when a Dodge Caravan pulled out of an office complex, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the driver failed to yield to the motorcyclist, who crashed into the driver’s side door.
The motorcycle burst into flames after the collision, police said. People helped pull the man from the wreckage, but he died from his injuries.
First responders took the driver of the Dodge to the hospital with unknown injuries.
