Report says a 39-year-old man suffered severe injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle on Riverland Road after a head-on accident with a Ford pickup.
According to the police department, the motorcyclist traveled southbound on Riverland Road on a 2012 Harley Davidson. The motorcyclist then crossed into the other lane, attempting to avoid a vehicle that stopped suddenly. Consequently, the rider struck the corner of a northbound Ford F150.
The rider was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained serious injuries from the crash. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance for immediate medical treatment. His current medical condition is unknown.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 17-year-old. The truck driver sustained only minor injuries from the accident. Additionally, there was one passenger in the F150 who did not sustain any injury in the accident.
Police are still investigating the crash. No further information has been released to the press at the time of this report.
