Law enforcement officials reported an accident on Cisco Drive West that left the mother of two children critically injured.

According to the news report by officials, the crash happened when the driver of a silver Chevrolet, traveling northbound, suddenly went off the road on a curve. The Chevrolet overturned several times and collided with a vehicle carrying a woman and her children. The Chevrolet came to rest on its side, however, the vehicle that was hit lost control and swerved off the road.

EMS arrived to the scene of the crash and administered first aid to the victims of the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries.

The mother sustained critical injuries. EMS rushed her to the hospital in critical condition.

Her two children were not hurt in the crash. They were strapped safe in their car seats.

Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
