A 34-year-old man was reportedly unconscious after his pickup truck crashed into a guardrail on MacArthur Causeway.

Police reported that the 34-year-old man was eastbound on MacArthur Causeway in his Chevrolet when he lost control of the vehicle. The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado slid off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and swerved off the other side of the road.

Police added that the pickup truck then rolled over after hitting a disabled SUV parked by the road on the highway.

It is not clear what led to the loss of control. Some eyewitness said he was attempting to avoid crashing into a reckless driver ahead of him.

The driver of the truck was not wearing a seat belt according to the report. The SUV was also spotted to have had one of its tires deflated.

Upon EMS arrival, the man was found in a critical condition. He has been rushed to the nearest hospital for prompt medical treatment.

The accident is under investigating by Miami Police Department.
