According to Florida Highway Patrol, one man died, and another man was seriously injured in a head-on collision on West McNab Road in Pompano Beach.
Report says one driver has been transported with serious injuries from crash in Pompano Beach.
It was reported that a 2008 Scion TC was headed east on West McNab Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver consequently veered over the concrete median and entered the westbound lanes, report says.
FHP reported the Scion TC struck a westbound 1996 Ford SUV head-on, causing both vehicles to overturn. This caused road blockage on the westbound lanes for several hours.
Troopers said the 55-year-old man driving the Ford SUV died at the scene. Meanwhile the Scion driver, identified as 21-year-old, was taken to a nearby medical center with serious injuries. Report says both drivers are from Fort Lauderdale.
All northbound lanes of West McNab Road were closed for several hours due to the crash but have since reopened.
FHP is investigating whether alcohol was a factor. Charges are pending in the case.
