Florida Highway Patrol says a 32-year-old man was killed after a crash that occurred on State Road 16.
According to authorities, the crash occurred when the driver of the truck left the road and collided with a power pole.
The crash shut down SR-16 in both directions near Penny Farms.
For several hours traffic was diverted at CR 218 and Thunder Road as crews worked to repair the damage to the power pole.
Officials did not disclose any further details on the crash but said the incident remained under investigation.
